Dichotomy: Kay's characterization portrays a dichotomy between virginal purity and violent lust. Typical and dichotomal. Further supported she is "the Scarlet women"
And I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

This connects oddly to the number of people in the family. There are seven members in the family and Kay sticks out like a sore thumb (sitting upon the scarlet beast of the Godfather's family) Her name can also mean Glory. And in English it means the keeper of the Keys.
Kay's Colours:
Red (Seductive, Blood, Love, War)
Brown (Neutral, natural, Earth, Wood)
There is something hidden about he characteristics. Clearly, she represents foreshadowed moments in the movie.
