The Fish
While walking into the bar, Luca Brasi sees fish in the window. As well, while he is talking with the opposing family, as a job directed by the Don. the fish are staring at him (fish models are faced towards his direction). Furthermore, the package that is sent to the Corleone family as a representation of Luca Brasi's death, is a dead fish. "Luca Brasi now sleeps with the fishes" (baddd grammar!)
There may be more to this symbolism as it also represents Christianity.

Christianity?
ReplyDeleteLike the symbol with the fish you mean?
Yeah, in Christianity the Fish symbol seems to be very important in the Bible, or at least it is a re-occuring theme that reflects the importance of fish during the Era(as a staple food).
